The Elena is the top half of the Kelp set, and it earns its place as the more detailed piece of the two. A wide pintuck yoke runs across the full breadth of the front — rows of fine, pressed tucks fanning out from the center neckline toward the shoulders — before releasing into a gathered body below. The back carries the same pintuck yoke in full, so the detail is present from every angle rather than reserved for the front view alone.

The neckline is a split V — open just enough to be interesting without plunging — with a column of self-covered buttons running down the center front placket. The buttons are small and tonal, adding texture and vertical structure to the body without competing with the yoke above. Sleeves are short and slightly wide, hitting at the elbow with a relaxed, boxy cut that keeps the top easy and unstructured through the body.

The hem is a straight, cropped finish that sits just above the natural waist — the right length to layer over the Monroe Skirt as a set, or to tuck loosely into something high-waisted on its own.

In Kelp, worn with the Monroe Skirt, the two pieces read as a complete look held together by the pintuck detail that appears on both.
